Women in Renewables

Women in Renewables, the original female-only energy event, returns on Tuesday 15 September in Ten Square Belfast.

Women in Renewables created by RenewableNI to champion female voices, showcase the diversity of careers in renewable energy, and help build a stronger, more inclusive workforce for the transition to net zero. 

The event brings together women from across energy sector, from policy to developer, for a day of networking, discussion and professional development.

Returning to Ten Square Hotel, Belfast on Tuesday 15 September 2026, the conference will feature a keynote address and interactive workshop from Joanna Denton, an experienced coach and mentor who will explore confidence, leadership and career development.

The conference also feature an all-female panel discussion exploring personal experiences, career journeys and perspectives from across the renewable energy sector. Panellists include:

Catherine Burns, Managing Senior Associate, Pinsent Masons
Rachel Sankannawar, Project Director, Department for the Economy
Dr Theresa McDonald, Chair, Belfast Harbour.

Designed to create meaningful connections and visible role models, Women in Renewables also supports mentoring opportunities and encourages more women to consider careers and leadership roles within Northern Ireland’s growing renewable energy sector.
