Tell us about your role and your organisation
In April 2024, my husband and I combined our businesses to create MorrLiving Ltd. He is a physical therapist and founder of MorrMovement, and I am a Development and Leadership Coach, previously trading as MorrYou. Together with our son Emmet, we deliver physical therapy clinics, rehabilitation services, mobility classes, and coaching programmes from our clinic based in Coleraine.
Paddy has expanded his role by training in trauma-informed therapies, and he now works with individuals who have experienced both physical and emotional trauma. His approach incorporates specialised techniques such as EFT, EMDR, kinesiology, and nervous system resets.
My own work centres on leadership and executive coaching, and I deliver onsite programmes for organisations seeking facilitation in areas such as coaching leaders, time management, mindset, resilience, emotional intelligence, and self-awareness. I’m also a qualified Strengthscope Facilitator and offer the online strengths-based assessment and debrief, which is an excellent tool for individuals seeking promotion, starting a new business, or navigating university or early career choices.
At MorrLiving, our goal is to take a whole-body approach to living your best life.
Give us a brief overview of your career journey so far
I spent 25 years in the Further Education sector, lecturing in Business from A Level to Foundation Degree level. For the last eight years of that period, I worked as a Curriculum Manager while also managing the FE Enterprise Hub for all Further Education colleges in Northern Ireland.
Lifelong learning and enterprise have always been my passions, and I truly believe in our ability to keep growing and evolving throughout life. In April 2023, I made the decision to leave education and retrained as a Coach and Mentor. I launched my own coaching business, MorrYou, and led it until we merged the business with MorrMovement to form MorrLiving in April 2024. I also continue to provide business mentoring on a consultancy basis for a local enterprise agency.
What is one skill that helps you most in your role and why?
I’m a listener — and that is, without question, one of the most important skills in my work. I love hearing what people want to achieve in their lives, and as a coach, making someone feel truly heard can be transformational. When people feel they’re being listened to, they feel valued — and that alone can unlock positive emotions, spark motivation, and help them move forward toward their goals.
What advice do you have for women in your industry?
Honesty is essential — and so is kindness and consideration. Listen wholeheartedly. We never know the full extent of another person’s journey. Encourage others in their success, offer support freely, and be generous with your time. And never underestimate the power of a hug!
Are there any exciting plans in the year ahead in your organisation that you can share with us?
I'm working on launching a more professional marketing strategy by October 2025, with a new website for MorrLiving currently in development. Things have been quite ad hoc until now, so this marks an exciting new chapter. I’m also collaborating with a digital content creator to promote the Strengthscope arm of the business, which I see as a strong growth area for the future.
Who has been your biggest career inspiration and why?
My husband has been a huge inspiration to me. After 20 years as an accountant, he retrained over five years to become a Neuromuscular Therapist. He took the leap to leave his profession and founded MorrMovement 16 years ago. Since then, he’s built a thriving practice, continuously investing in training, evolving his services, and delivering high-quality care. His drive and passion continue to motivate me every day.
If you had to pick your soundtrack song to get you through the working day, what would it be?
I Gotta Feeling by the Black Eyed Peas. It’s upbeat, energising, and always sets the tone for a positive day ahead.
Describe how your membership with Women in Business has helped you in your career
Being a member of Women in Business has provided valuable opportunities to raise the profile of my company. I had the chance to speak at a local event, which allowed me to share my services with a wider audience and build greater awareness of what MorrLiving offers.
I’ve also attended several networking events where I’ve connected with other women who are not only forward-thinking and ambitious but also refreshingly honest about the challenges of running a business solo. Hearing their stories and experiences has been incredibly encouraging - it’s a reassuring reminder that I’m not alone on this journey.
How can our members best connect with you?
You can connect with me on Instagram or LinkedIn, by email, or even better, in person at a networking event.
