Tell us about Progressive Building Society and your role within!

Progressive Building Society is a local organisation for local people. We value our customers and always put their needs first. My current role is Branch Manager in the Glengormley Branch.

What has been your career journey so far?

I joined the Society in August 1993 as a Customer Service Assistant in the Lisburn Branch. I then moved into a mortgage role, completed my CeMap qualification and became a qualified Mortgage Advisor. In March 2014 I transferred to our Wellington Place branch in Belfast as an Assistant Manager before moving to my current role as Branch Manager in the Glengormley branch.

Positive, friendly and determined.

What is the 1 skill that helps you the most in your role?

Having a sense of humour!

Do you have any advice for your fellow Women in Finance?

Keep good people around you and enjoy their company

Are there any exciting plans on the way for Progressive Building Society?

The Society in recent years has been developing and increasing our digital technology for our customers. At Progressive we value our direct interaction with customers, but we also recognise that their needs are evolving and it is important to offer a choice in how they engage with us. We launched an online product switch at the end of 2020 and have further online processes rolling out later this year.

Usually a piece of fruit, not very exciting
