60 Seconds with Sheena Campbell | Campbell Financial

Tell us about your role and your organisation:

I’m the Founder and Principal Adviser at Campbell Financial, a mortgage brokerage based in Hillsborough. After nearly a decade in financial services, including roles at Santander and independent firms, I launched Campbell Financial in 2024 to deliver crafted, compassionate mortgage advice that puts people first. We specialise in working with first-time buyers, self-employed clients, and those with complex financial situations. The firm is trained to support individuals with hidden disabilities and proudly supports the Mortgage Industry Mental Health Charter. We also partner with NHS Staff Services to offer exclusive discounts.

Outside of client work, I mentor for Women in Banking and Finance and have been recognised as one of The Times' Top-Rated Mortgage Advisers via VouchedFor for five consecutive years.

Brief overview of your career journey:

I started my career at Santander in 2016, progressing from their Select department to Mortgage Enquiry Consultant. By 24, I had self-funded my qualifications and become a fully qualified adviser, skipping two internal promotions. After building experience with other firms, I launched my own brokerage in 2024. Today, I lead Campbell Financial with a focus on both expertise and empathy.

One skill that helps most in your role and why:

Empathy. Talking about money can feel intimidating, especially if you're worried about being judged. My goal is to make clients feel safe, supported and heard -  regardless of their background or circumstances.

Advice for other women in your industry:

Take the damn risks. What’s the opportunity cost if you don’t? Even if it doesn’t go to plan, you’ll learn and move forward with more clarity. Backing yourself is one of the most powerful decisions you can make.

Exciting plans ahead:

We’re opening a new Campbell Financial office in Omagh this June! We're also enhancing our internal systems for a smoother client experience and deepening collaborations like our NHS partnership.

Biggest career inspiration:

I’ve always trusted my instincts and backed myself. I take daily inspiration from my clients, especially the women working toward financial independence.

Soundtrack to get through the day:

Bittersuit followed by Blue from Billie Eilish’s new album. The transition between the two is stunning. The whole Hit Me Hard and Soft album is a masterpiece - emotional, powerful and exactly the energy I need.

Best way to connect:

I’m always happy to connect and chat. You can find me on LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook or through my website. Whether it’s a professional question, a collaboration idea, or just a shared coffee - I’m here for it.
