Jacquline Hamilton - Seaford Interiors

Jacqueline Hamilton of Seaforde Interiors is a Freelance Interior designer.

 

She doesn’t own a shop as this helps keeps the costs down for her clients and gives her more scope so that she can source products and items from anywhere and not feel that she has to make commission on a wallpaper or fabric book, and feels this helps with her creativity.

 

She says that every clients requirements are different and she will sit down with each client and discuss the brief thoroughly to get the exact look that they want to create. Her work has been both commercial and residential to date.

 

She may be based in Seaforde near Newcastle, however Jacqueline travels all over N Ireland for her clients. She has a degree in Fine Art, although always wanted to do interiors from an early age and was more interested in playing with the dolls house than her dolls.

 

She was encouraged by a local estate agent to be an interior designer as they were so impressed with the transformation of her own property whilst selling it to build her dream home after returning from London.

 

So when her children were school age she went back and re-trained and did an interiors course.

 

She was involved with the Powerof4 were she met so many inspirational and fabulous women who gave her the confidence to pursue her goal of running her own business.

 

“It’s true what they say, you do become like the ones you’re with and if you’re around like minded people that are supportive and have a great energy, it gives you the confidence to push you towards your dreams.”

 

I am very grateful to WIB through the Powerof4 and all of their networking events are fab and so informative.

 

As my work can be quite solitary sometimes it’s great to get out and meet other entrepreneurs and have a chat and make new friends.
