Kaleena Murphy of Étaín Ireland

I am Kaleena Murphy, owner of Étaín Ireland candles. I make luxurious home fragrances which are all handmade in Newbridge, Co Derry and are uniquely presented in Irish. I am also a trauma therapist and I started off making candles as a way of helping me to recalibrate and look after myself in what can be a stressful job. I am originally from the Glens of Antrim and now live in Newbridge, Co Derry, both areas steeped in Irish culture. It felt natural to marry my love of candles making with the love of Irish culture and so Étaín Ireland was born. I wanted the brand to be luxurious, elegant, chic, and yet simple in style and so I put all my efforts in to making sure every part of the products matched that ultimate aim and I am delighted with the feedback received from both online customers and retailers who stock my products.



The name Étaín (pronounced a-dean) is really important to me and a big part of the brand. She is the Celtic goddess of sunlight, known as the shining one. She talks about guiding us back to our wisdom, our own true light. It is my hope that the beauty of Étaín will shine brightly through the fragrances and help bring us all back to our own wisdom, beauty and true self.
