Rosie Keaney, Founder of Dream Big Events

Hi everyone, my name is Rosie Keaney and I am a proud mum of four & wife to one. I am the founder of my new business, Dream Big Events. I have always been a dreamer, like the business name, I love to dream big, I happily live in my imagination and love to dream and visualise new ideas, vision & projects.

Dream Big Events is all about creating opportunities for businesses, charities, and non-profit organisations. As a of visionary, strategist, planner, and creator, I can bring your dream event to reality, making and creating an extraordinary event. My innovative way of thinking engages clients and their audiences, no matter what their requirements. I work as an extension of your marketing and communication teams to design engaging events, helping you to communicate directly with your target audience. It is my aim to help all clients make the most out of these interactions, creating a fulfilling and purposeful experience.

I have been in business for almost twenty years. I am passionate about business and thoroughly enjoyed studying my BSC in Business Studies alongside running my family business. I was in the fortunate position to apply in practise what I was learning in theory, and it changed my thought process completely. My four younger sisters, mum, dad and I had established two day nurseries and a children’s indoor play centre in Enniskillen over the past fifteen years, so there was lots of learning in business development each and every day.

Unfortunately, in 2018, I closed my business overnight, it was one of the most challenging and difficult decisions I have ever made in my life. I was eight months pregnant at the time expecting my fourth child. That day changed my life. I felt like it was the end of the road for me in my career that I was back at the beginning all over again. However, since that time, I have been on a complete journey of self-discovery, finding out who I am and what I love to do, finding my passion and purpose in life.

Four years down the line through self-healing, I am finally in a place where I feel strong enough to start my own business, I decided it was time to live in my life’s purpose. To learn from the lessons of the past. 2022 has been a very exciting year for me, lots of realisations. I have come to realise we are all stronger than believe ourselves to be as we are all capable of great things if we have faith.

In December 2021 I had enrolled for my first TEDx talk in Enniskillen which was held in the ardhowen in June this year. It was the most profound experience of my life other than my children and husband of course. I healed as a direct result of this process as I was able to revisit some of the feelings I had bottled up and let them go.

Tedx helped me to remember the promise I made after I closed my business. I promised I wanted to help others going through a difficult time in their life after what I had been through. This is my purpose and a big part of my future. I intend to do motivational talks and help others through my own personal business and life journey and Dream Big Events is very much a part of that too.
