After working in the fashion industry for so many years, I was able to see the negative impact it is having on our environment. I had to do something. I decided to create a brand that did not create waste and would reflect my morals. One where the garments would last the customer for years - not months. We aim to eliminate waste by producing in small batches and only ordering more stock when the stock we have is becoming limited. All our Vocus Vit gear is made using recycled plastic bottles and is packaged and shipped in recycled, biodegradable packaging which means our process from start to finish is doing better.
When researching manufacturers, we wanted to find one that had a high standard on the treatment of their workers, waste disposal and sanitation. We found just that! Our Vocus Vit activewear lines are made in Bali, in a factory that fulfills all the Indonesian Government's regulations on all the above. Their facility is fully air conditioned, and their working conditions align with Western standards. All employees receive at least twice the minimum wage, double wages for overtime, as well as free medical insurance which is extended to their spouse and up to three children. Also, every employee is also provided with fresh, healthy meals daily!
Sustainability is key to a better future and is no longer a choice. Landfills are being maxed out and the world's natural resources are being depleted. Us humans rely on those natural resources for business, pleasure and survival and if we ignore it those natural resources will be exhausted. This is why we at Vocus Vit want to create a circular economy in which we reduce, reuse and recycle.
