Sharon McNulty- Founder of Serenity Sparks Joy

My name is Sharon Mc Nulty and I am the founder of Serenity Sparks Joy and the only KonMari™ Consultant in Northern Ireland. I help clients declutter and organise their homes and businesses.

 

I have three children and work full-time, so I know how busy life can get. When my children were young I would spend my weekends tidying and cleaning, but by midweek, my home would start to get cluttered again and so the cycle continued.

 

I read Marie Kondo’s book 'The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up' in 2014, and it was as though Marie was writing about my life! I completed my own tidying journey and this truly changed how I live my life and, now I fill my life only with those items that spark joy. It’s such a freeing experience. I enjoyed the process so much that I attended The KonMari™ Consultant seminar where I trained under Marie Kondo. 

 

Most people have too much stuff and we don’t know where to start in order to reduce the amount. Clients tell me they spend precious time searching for items each day, their homes and businesses never stay tidy or, they often re-buy what they already have. 

 

The KonMari Method™ is different, the client will ONLY EVER HAVE TO TIDY ONCE IN THEIR LIFETIME! Yes, that’s right, if they complete their tidying journey, THEY WILL ONLY HAVE TO TIDY ONCE! 

 

We tidy by category and not location. We keep only those items that spark joy and discard the rest. KonMari™ places the emphasis on keeping your items that you love and which spark joy. KonMari™ reframes your relationship with your belongings which mean you value your things and appreciate what you already have.

 

As a KonMari™ Consultant I help clients achieve a home that is tidy, where they know where everything is and that is filled only with items that spark joy, in other words Serenity.
