Tell us about your business and your role within.
I run a paddleboard company and teach people how to paddleboard and take them on paddleboard tours. I am a fully qualified instructor.

Share a brief overview of your career journey to date.
I started my paddleboard business just over a year ago. It has gone from strength to strength. I teach people at Portballintrae, Helens Bay and on the River Lagan and at Castlewellan. I have 5 star reviews on google. I have had an amazing summer this year and I am passionate at what I do.

What aspect of the Yes You Can Programme did you take part in?
I took part in the mentoring sessions.

Why did you decide to get involved in Yes You Can?
I took part in the Yes You Can programme as I knew it would play a pivotal role in setting up my business.

How was the Yes You Can experience?
The Yes You Can experience was integral in setting up Get up & Get on paddleboarding. It benefitted me in many ways and gained me confidence in setting up my business.

Which skills or experiences from the programme helped most in your business?
Roisin was an excellent mentor and she gave me a massive insight how to run my business. Melanie was assigned to mentor me 1:1 and she gave me a massive boost in how to operate on social media.

What is your advice to those who are thinking of applying?
I had a brilliant experience on the Yes You Can Scheme and I Can't speak highly enough how it helped my business. I strongly advise people to go on the Yes You Can Scheme it did me the world of good.
