Herbert Smith Freehills Third Birthday
Herbert Smith Freehills Belfast is delighted to have recently become an official partner of Women in Business NI.
Tuesday 20 May 2014

We are proud that by April 2014, the third anniversary of the opening of the Belfast office, our numbers had grown to over 150. We recently celebrated this significant milestone with a beautiful evening at the Ulster Museum in Belfast.
Libby Jackson (Director of the Belfast office) commented:
"Our third year has seen us further enhance our reputation for innovation in Belfast. By listening to our clients, and responding creatively, we have continued to develop the legal services that we offer across corporate, funds, real estate and disputes".
The Belfast office was initially established to focus on large scale document-intensive aspects of commercial litigation and regulatory investigations. While the office retains a core focus on e-disclosure reviews, we also offer key transactional real estate support to our London real estate practice, due diligence services in support of our corporate practice and dedicated support for the firm's global funds practice.
As a leading international law firm, diversity is at the heart of Herbert Smith Freehills' global values, and members of the Belfast office were delighted to attend the recent International Business Women's Conference 2014, which was hosted by Women in Business NI.
The inspirational keynote speech given by Helena Morrissey CBE, founder of the Thirty Percent Club, particularly resonated with us with us as a firm, as we recently committed to achieving greater gender diversity by setting a 30% target for the proportion of women in our global partnership by May 2019.
Herbert Smith Freehills Belfast is looking forward to the valuable networking and development opportunities that will arise as a result of our partnership with Women in Business NI, as we continue to work to promote diversity across the firm.
