International Voices of Leadership Conference

The WIB Group brought together a line-up of inspiring global leaders as part of its International Voices of Leadership Conference at Mandela Hall, Belfast.

Keynote speakers included Secretary Hillary Clinton, Professor Mary McAleese, Cherie Blair CBE KC and Dame Louise Richardson DBE who explored the importance of embracing inclusivity, making your voice heard and looking at the essential strategies to develop as an impactful leader.

Hosted by Sarah Travers, the conference was supported by Belfast City Council, The Ireland Funds, Dept of Economy, Allstate Northern Ireland, Diversity Mark and Timely. It featured a wealth of inspirational speakers including Alyse Nelson, CEO of Vital Voices, Sarah Friar, CEO of Nextdoor and Huma Abedin, American political staffer.

The Conference, in partnership with the Chief Executives Club at Queen’s University, was part of the three-day Agreement 25 schedule and also focused on local young voices, Tara Gráinne Ní Chonghaile, Cormac Savage and Farrah Oliver-McAuley - as they discussed their future and visions for the next 25 years of social progress in Northern Ireland.

Commenting on the conference, WIB Group CEO Roseann Kelly said, “It was a real honour to bring together such a diverse range of leading female voices to celebrate the changes that they have made possible and showcase how women are leading in business right across our economy. We wanted to shine a light on their stories of resilience that are emblematic of women’s contribution to the world and who serve as role models for the future leaders of today.”
