Taoiseach Leo Varadkar meets the WiB Group

A progressive and prosperous economy is an inclusive economy.

At the request of Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, representatives of the WiB Group - Women in Business NI, Diversity Mark and Timely Careers were honoured to join in conversation at The Dark Horse, Belfast.

We used our voice to share your insights and experience when it comes to the active participation of women business leaders and entrepreneurs in the creation of a more inclusive and equitable society.

The Taoiseach recognised that decision makers must understand the challenges of people who are not in the room, and asked questions and listened to calls for scaled women specific enterprise support and the significance of cross-border SMEs in our economy.

With opportunity for cross border co-operation, trade, and investment, we need political collaboration and the restoration of the devolved institutions at Stormont to deliver this benefit for all the citizens of Northern Ireland.

We closed the meeting with a very welcomed call for allyship and more collaborative work across the island.
